A community with a rich history

From gravel pit to beautiful lakeside community

Formerly a gravel pit, United Properties took control of the land through a contract for deed in 1988 and worked to redevelop the Edina, Minnesota site as a mixed-use office and lifestyle complex.  The company worked with the City of Edina to transform the property into a design that incorporated retail, entertainment, residential and office space as well as park land, for the 100-acre development.

United Properties coordinated the efforts of the City of Edina and four private developers to design and complete a project that would serve as an economic hub and community gathering place as well as a convenient service center for the thousands of people who would live and work within the site.

United Properties received the National Developer of the Year Award from the National Association of the Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP), the commerical real estate industry’s leading trade association, for Centennial Lakes Office Park.  Today, United Properties continues to own the park through a joint venture.
